IMPULS – III/2014
Solar thermal collector exploiting multi-wall carbon nanotubes and biosafe heating nanoliquids.
Funding: 80 000, 00 PLN
Duration: March 2015 – November 2015
Industrial Partner: Winiplast, Orzesze
Abstract:
Some of the fundamental problems of heating using sunlight as an energy source are inter alia: (a) the conversion efficiency of the energy carried by the electromagnetic radiation of the heat of the heating medium, (b) thermal conductivity and operational stability of fluid in thermal circuit (c) the presence of a group of pathogenic bacteria, and (d) material corrosion caused by biological agents (bacteria / algae) or chemical (eg. ethylene glycol oxidation products). This project includes laboratory tests and R&D activities in the context of the development of space solar collector, heating nanofluids with improved thermal and bacteriostatic properties and assessment of the commercialization potential.
